Main Street Books is proud to announce a collaborative project with the Mansfield/Richland County Public Library (M/RCPL) and Dojo Comics, which will culminate in two events this March: “It’s Comical,” a talk by students at Dojo Comics who are developing their own original graphic novel series; and “It’s Alive,” a show of stop-action animation by young animators studying at Dojo Comics. "It’s Comical" is on Monday, March 3 from 6-7:30pm and is in the Community Room at the M/RCPL. Having just finished the third installment of his cartoon graphic novel, Isaac Calloway, 15 years old, will be premiering his new work through MSB. Courtney Casey, 13 years old, is releasing her sequel novel for young teens. Isaac’s YIP HIP HOORAY series will be on sale for $12 a piece for the individual comics, or $30 for all three. Courtney’s novels, DIARY OF LUCY MARRY, TOMBOY FROM UNGER HIGH, will be similarly priced. The Dojo Comic students will also help the audience brainstorm ideas of their own.
