| Description | Abraham and Mary Lincoln will be discussing the horrible War Between the States, which is approaching the end of its second year on Feb. 19, 1863. Mrs. Lincoln will tell about helping the wounded soldiers in Washington City’s hospitals plus her assisting the poor slaves that had escaped from the South to Washington City with nothing but the clothes on their backs. President Lincoln will give the highlights of the war so far, including major battles which mostly have not gone well for the North. He will also tell some of the story of the Emancipation Proclamation. Gerald and Marilyn Payn from Wooster, OH will portray the Lincolns. |
